Sometimes imitation isn't considered the highest form of flattery. The Hollie's Credence Clearwater Revival-inspired "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress" was too close to his style for John Fogerty. He sued the band over the issue which was eventually settled out of court. This 1972 performance is ample proof that regardless of the obvious CCR influence, the song is a timeless classic.
