Nick Cave is well known these days as the frontman for the Bad Seeds, but back in the 80s he was the driving force of the Birthday Party. I read a short missive about the band, which described their sound as "loud, nightmarish, and deliciously crude." A more apt description is not to be imagined. Here they are performing the Stooges song, "Funhouse" with guest Lydia Lunch in Germany. It's predictably intense.
