Before Pee Wee's Playhouse, before Pee Wee's Big Adventure, there was The Pee Wee Herman show on HBO in 1981. The world's first look at Paul Reubens' iconic character, the Pee Wee Herman show introduced characters that would be revived for his weekly "kids" show. This is a great example of the satirical elements of the skits that only adults would understand. Though this medley of Sly Stones' hits may be an exaggerated performance, it's a solid tribute.
