Few bands have gone through the personnel changes and turmoil that Fleetwood Mac has endured. This song was recorded after Peter Greene's departure and shortly before Jeremy Spencer left the group. It also marks Christine McVie's debut in the group. It was written by founder Danny Kirwan, with lyrics taken from a poem by Welsh poet W. H. Davies. Kirwan was kicked out of the band the next year, after having a violent meltdown before a gig.
