Ace of Spades
One of the best hard rock (or metal, if you prefer) albums of all time has been reissued to mark the 50th anniversary of Motorhead’s inception. Founded by the legendary Lemmy Kilmister, the band had a series of guitarists and drummers, but Ace of Spades featured the classic lineup of guitarist “Fast” Eddie Clark, Lemmy on bass, and Philthy Animal Taylor on drums. The record has been remastered at Half-Speed from the original tapes and pressed on colored vinyl.

The kings of swamp rock are commemorated this month with each of the group’s studio albums being reissued on special colored vinyl pressings. From its eponymous debut through Mardi Gras, John Fogerty and co. released seven studio albums over its five-year existence, with classic songs that are still in rotation to this day.

John Coltrane
A Love Supreme: 60th Anniversary Edition
For the anniversary of one of John Coltrane’s most celebrated albums, A Love Supreme has been reissued on diamond clear vinyl. Recorded in a single session with pianist McCoy Tyner, bassist Jimmy Garrison and drummer Elvin Jones, it’s considered by many to be the tenor legend’s finest record and a masterpiece by all.

Catch A Fire + 6
Bob Marley
Bob Marley’s enduring legacy is memorialized this month with reissues of some of his greatest recordings. Catch A Fire, Burnin’, Natty Dread, Rastaman Vibration, Exodus, Kaya, and Uprising are to be released in partnership with the Marley family and Tuff Gong International. Titles will be available in a variety of formats, including 33rpm UHQR, 45rpm UHQR, 2LP 45rpm, SACD, and reel-to-reel tape (15 IPS on 1/4 inch tape).

Simple Minds
Sparkle in the Rain
Simple Mind’s commercial breakthrough came in 1984 with the release of Sparkle in the Rain. The album yield three hit singles, “Waterfront,” “Speed Your Love to Me,” and “Up on the Catwalk.” The Super Deluxe Blu-ray editions feature new Dolby Atmos mixes by Bob Clearmountain, as well as DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio, PGM Stereo & original mixes plus instrumentals.
