October London
October Nights
Like Marvin Gaye reincarnated, this Indiana native crooner will make you want to get all cozy with a very close friend. Jared Samuel Erskine, aka, October London had a life-changing encounter with Snoop Dogg in 2016 which ultimately led to a record deal on Snoop’s Death Row label. London’s second album dropped this month, and without a doubt, October Nights is sure to please fans of classic R&B.
FEATURED TRACK: “Touch on Me”
Spencer Sutherland
The Drama
Releasing a three-act rock opera is not something you’d expect an artist to do these days, but singer Spencer Sutherland has done just that. Theatrical and dynamic, The Drama is aptly named. I’m getting strong Queen vibes from this, and I’m not complaining!

Thee Sacred Souls
Got a Story to Tell
The follow-up to the group’s 2022 eponymous debut, Got a Story to Tell finds the San Diego-based trio serving up fine classic R&B with a vibe that wouldn’t be out of place in the early 70s.
FEATURED TRACK: “Lucid Girl”
LP Giobbi
Leah Chisholm, a.k.a. LP Giobbi, is a DJ who remixes Grateful Dead tunes into dance music. The featured track’s vocalist, Danielle Ponder, is one of my favorite singers at the moment. Her powerful, soulful vocals offer a fascinating contrast to the music.
FEATURED TRACK: “Is This Love?”
Snowgoose
Descendant
If you’re craving beautiful melodies and psychedelic-tinged folk, the Scottish band’s latest album requires your attention. Louder than War raves, “There’s a drifting, jazzy quality to the album…supported by judicious instrumentation that never feels obtrusive or showy.”
